We are looking forward to welcoming you back to our Inverness Marine Megastore on Wednesday 1st July. As we re-open, here are some changes we would like to share with you…
Of course, the safety of our customers and colleagues remains our highest priority so our team has been working hard to welcome you back to our megastore safely. Like many other shops, we have introduced new measures and a reduced service so that you can remain safe while still having the ability to buy from our range of marine products.
Due to the additional measures and new ways of working, please be prepared for the possibility of longer waiting times and queues. We know that queuing can sometimes be frustrating, but in the current circumstances, we ask you to remain patient with our colleagues who will be there to assist you as efficiently as possible.
Our measures for safer shopping
To avoid any disappointment on arrival, we strongly encourage you to use our click and collect service on our website, gaelforcemarine.co.uk. If you know what you require from our megastore then you can easily place your order and pay for items in advance of your visit.
When you use click and collect, you will receive two emails – one email to confirm your order and another email to let you know when your order is ready to collect from our store. Once you receive our ‘ready to collect’ email, simply take a printed or digital copy of your order confirmation and order number to our shop desk and our colleagues will bring your pre-prepared order to you.
You can also use click and collect or our dedicated mail order telephone line to place an order for non-stocked items. Please consider these options before travelling to our megastore with a product enquiry.
When you visit, our reduced service means that we will be asking you to tell our in-store colleagues at our shop counter what goods you require. This means, for the time being, that our shop floor will not be accessible to customers for browsing, however our colleagues will be on hand to help retrieve products for you.
Because some areas of our range may have limited stock, we would encourage you to use our website to check stock levels and make full use of our click and collect service in advance of your visit.
There will be a queuing system inside to manage access to the shop counter. Please bear in mind that due to the implementation of additional safety measures, queuing times will be a little longer. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
To ensure a safe visit to our megastore we ask that if you can, please visit alone. Only bring one other person if you need special assistance.
At our entrance we have a hand gel and cleaning station – please maintain good hand hygiene by using this station upon entry and exit.
In line with Scottish Government guidance and for the safety of everyone, we strongly recommend that you use a face covering when you visit our megastore.
For the time being our customer toilet facilities will not be accessible, so please bear this in mind before coming to our store so you can avoid an uncomfortable visit!
Please also come prepared with your own bags for smaller item purchases.
We are only accepting cashless payments to reduce the amount of contact between you and our colleagues.
We will also be installing protective screens at the shop desk to provide extra protection to you and our colleagues.
While we hope to be able to build back up to full power as the virus continues to be suppressed and lockdown restrictions are eased, we will be operating with a smaller team of colleagues than normal. Therefore, our shop opening hours will be reduced.
Our reduced opening hours can be viewed here on our webshop.
We are grateful to our loyal customers for the patience and understanding shown during these trying times, and to our hard-working colleagues for their efforts in getting our megastore re-opened with measures to keep us all safe.
We look forward to welcoming you back…
