As a responsible employer and trusted supply partner, we want to ensure that our stakeholders are aware of the measures we are taking during what will be a difficult period for some. Our thoughts are with those directly and indirectly impacted by the spread of this coronavirus.
We are taking a responsible approach to this issue, following Government and World Health Organisation (WHO) advice and closely monitoring the situation as it develops.
We have already implemented measures to help play our part in preventing the spread of disease and to ensure we encourage the good health and wellbeing of our valued workforce, including avoiding non-business critical travel, conducting meetings via telephone and video conferencing where possible, and supporting and encouraging extra care around hygiene and good cleanliness in our workplaces and stores.
Based on the current governmental advice, and with the additional measures in place, it is business as usual throughout our Group.
We are working closely with our supply agents to continually assess any impact on the supply chain and, where necessary, establishing solutions that will lessen potential risks to supply. We wish to re-assure customers that production and timely delivery of orders remains high priority for us and that we will immediately inform customers of any interruptions that we may encounter.
Finally, of great importance to us, we recognise the situation has potential to affect people in the local communities we are part of. We stand ready to support those communities and other stakeholders in whatever way we can with our resources and will seek to engage with local community councils in the coming days and weeks to work out how we can help.
Stay healthy and stay safe.
