Statement regarding Covid-19 (Coronavirus) and Supply Chain Planning

06/03/2020

The World Health Organisation has declared that the outbreak of 2019-nCoV – commonly known as Coronavirus – constitutes a public health emergency of international concern. Our thoughts are with those directly and indirectly impacted by the spread of the virus.

As a trusted supply partner, we want to ensure you are provided with all the information you need from us to understand any impact on the supply of goods and to enable you to plan your operations accordingly.

We have been closely monitoring the situation regarding some transport restrictions which are in place to contain the spread of the virus and we are continuously reviewing the situation as it develops.

Some of our products and third-party supplier components are produced outside the UK. Given some of the restrictions and controls that are being mandated on factories, and the impact we have seen on the movement of goods with ships not entering port, there is some risk that productivity and capacity will be adversely impacted in the short to medium term.

We are working closely with our agents to assess the impact that these unforeseeable circumstances are having on the supply chain and, where possible, establishing solutions that will lessen associated risks to our supply.

If you have an outstanding order with us that we believe may be affected by the current situation our sales representatives will be in contact with you directly to ensure you are kept informed.

We thank you for your understanding.
