At our Thornbush yard in Inverness, Gael Force build high specification, aluminium work boats to specific customer requirements up to 10 m in length. We have 4 models in the current range – the SeaSafe general purpose 1 tonne payload workboat, the Passenger Launch with forward wheelhouse and seating cabin, the Patrol Boat with forward wheelhouse and the open Estate Boat with bow door.
These tough and highly durable boats with medium ‘V’ planning hulls are built to exacting standards with twin-skinned hulls from heavy gauge marine aluminium and conform to the MCA Workboat Code. We can supply boats fully fitted out with engines, steering gear and controls, navigation lights and equipment or as bare hulls. Typically Gael Force aluminium workboats have large load carrying capacities, wide and deep cockpits or forward recessed load bays and either exposed wheel stations or open backed wheel houses.
The boats are finished at the Thornbush yard and fully sea trialled before commissioning and handover. This includes all required buoyancy and ballast testing, engine tests and set up and testing of all installed equipment. If required, Gael Force can supply safety and general marine equipment which might include compass, vhf radio, GPS, lifejackets, flares, foul weather clothing, anchor and warps etc..
